If you want me, it'll take more than a wink, more than a drink, more than you think.
Alicia Rivera had decided to take a stroll this morning to clear her mind. She threw on some clothes and walked outside. It was a good chance for her to clear her head. This was such a new environment for her, she was not used to it. She could barely ever find massie or dylan, or any of the rest of the tpc. She hated walking around by herself, but she knew she would have to get used to it.
Usually Alicia was a social butterfly, but around here, where she basically knew nobody. she felt awkward and left out. Which she hated. She had no idea what to do, should she call massie and find out where they are? or would that be to clingy. She had no idea what to do, and she felt like a little girl who'd lost their mother somewhere.
But she needed to stand out. Make new friends, meet new boys, which she wanted very much, and put herself out there. What was not to like about her, she dressed way cute, was funny, and way nice. She could be herself, and people here would like her right?
She made her way over toward starbucks, hoping that she would make some new friends, but secretly that the rest of the pretty committee was there.

Rose woke up that morning feeling totally energized and excited. She didn't really know why, but it was just one of those days she guessed. She was in the mood to go out and be with the people (well, whoever happened to be around). After taking her good sweet time getting ready (it was, like, five when she woke up, she had time!), she headed down to take a walk around the place, and then headed to get a coffee.
She wasn't sure who she would run into, but it was just one of those spontaneous day. She walked out of Billings completely and totally confident, her head held high and her shoulder back, her stomach in tight(even though there was nothing to pull in in the least, at one hundred and ten pound and almost six feet). What did she have to fear, she was a Billings girl, and so what if she wasn't president or whatever, she had status. So run and hide or stay down and bow (well, that's how she felt this morning!).
She strolled silkily into Starbucks, as graceful as a deer and as mysterious as a fox. She went up to the counter and ordered herself a fat and sugar free tall caramel machiato.
Turning to look for a seat, she saw someone she didn't know. Hmmm. She caught her eye, and then sat down at a table. Yes, if you were wondering, that was the 'Interesting, I want to meet you, introduce yourself already. NOW' motion.

Alicia turned her head as a newcomer entered the door. Well, she probably wasn't new, but she was a new face for alicia, but basically everyone was. She hated being new, but she thought the school was beautiful. She thought that once she made a few more friends, or found her regular friends, everything would be just perfect here.
She saw the girl looking at her in a kind way, so she smiled at her. It felt kind of wierd, because alicia is pretty self consious about what other people were thinking of her. But why not? she had nothing to be afraid of, she wasn't ugly or anything.

Rose rolled her eyes, and then stood up. This new girl was gorgeous. Seriously, it was disgusting how beautiful she was. And Rose wanted to talk to her.
She walked over and with a small smile plastered across her face, took the girls drink from in front of her. Casually turning around as if she had done nothing at all, and saying nothing in the least, she walked back to her table. She pulled out the chair across from the one she was sitting in and placed her drink on the table. She sat back down in her seat, and, pausing to take a sip of her drink, turned in her seat to look pointedly at the girl.

She was a little suprised when the girl came over and took her drink. But then it hit her, and she walked over to the girls table. She smiled unsurely, and said "I'm Alicia Rivera, and pretty much brand new around here", lamely. Wow, she didn't want this girl to think she's weird, but it just came out. She seemed kinda popular, well she definatly had the looks, but Leesh had no idea. ooc- sorry, pretty lame, but I hate the akward meeting new people :]

Grinning, she used her foot underneath the table to loudly scooch the chair out even farther. This was actually very fun. "Sit down Alicia Rivera - brand new around here, and let's keep each other company." She commanded kindly. This girl was, as she said, fabulously gorgeous. Who's hair looked like that up close? Who's? It was a crime against nature.
"So, tell me everything about yourself," she continued, keeping perfect posture but still looking casual, and taking a long sip of her drink.

Who was this girl, and where did she come from? Alicia would love having about ten of these girls in her room, just waiting to listen to her vent about her life. Surprisingly she felt comfortable around this girl, like she could tell her anything, so she would. "Well as I said, i'm new here. I came from Westchester, and I was basically you know, really popular, but here I basically know nobody. I recently was introduced to Noelle Lange, whom I am sure you know, she seems like wayy popular. But she said she hates my best friend Massie, whos like, the alpha. I'm the beta, but I told Noelle i'm the alpha. And she said something about requesting my into Billings next year, which I have no idea what it is, but it sounds good, and now i'm basically just rambling so you don't have to listen. I just need someone to vent to." She said embarrassed, but smiling.

Rose laughed openingly, but, surprisingly, not in a mean way. This girl was extremely typical. Like a Gossip Girl wannabe but cool. Very strange indeed.
"What's with all this 'alpha' and 'beta' stuff? It's worth nothing here, whatever it is. This is grown up school dear, and it looks to me like you have excellent aptitude for it. This Massie character sounds positively pathetic; if you want to get anywhere, stop playing her little who looks prettiest for popularity games and start acting, I dunno, cool?"
Truly hilarious. But fun to talk to.
Grinning and looking at her almost pityingly, but not pityingly in a way that made her look as if she thought Alicia was stupid, she continued, "I would advice you, darling, to one, stop apologizing for ranting so much and just stop, you seem like a person who usually controls herself, you're very graceful, so act like it. No need to be nervous, not around me anyways. Well," she paused, "Not around me when you're on my good side that is. Just relax. And two, forget this Massie girl, she sounds like a nine year old promising you candy if you be her best friend. Grow up, or this place will do it for you."
Rose could tell Alicia was embarrassed and it was uncharacteristic of her, she could read people like a book.
"And also, about Noelle, I'd live up to her praise, and it's a good think you called yourself the," she smirked, "alpha, but remember, once Noelle takes you in, she's in charge. She's the president of Billing: that's my house. I'm in Billings. Noelle is the leader. I have to live with it, and I'm fine with it. You could be to," she put major emphasis on this last sentence, "she can give you much more than this pathetic Massie girl."
Oh the youth of the rising generation, weird she was only a year and a bit older than her, but there was a big difference between new fifteens and almost seventeens.
"Why don't you sit with us tomorrow? At breakfast? It should be delightful. Forget about your old crew, they're holding you back." She said this bluntly, but that was her style. "And in the meanwhile..." she thought about what she was about to say, "you can hang with me." She didn't bother adding an 'if you want to.'

"Well, Massie is soo junior high still. I'm have absolutly no idea why we use alpha and beta. It's kind of just what the people back in westchester called us. Massie was number one, I was number two. Always. But not here. I'm so done with her little kid crap." She felt good to be venting. And around Rose she didn't feel dumb.
Rose seemed like the kind of girl who always knew what you were thinking. Which could be a good thing, but maybe a bad thing. Right now it was definatly a good thing. She felt like Rose totally knew what she was saying. So alicia didn't have to totally explain.
"I totally know what you mean. I already feel like a new person and I basically just got here. This place is so ah-mazing. I love it."
She smiled during the invitation for sitting with them at breakfast. She knew that Rose was in Billings. Which ment sitting with the Keltar guys and the Billings girls. The people she would hopefully sit with daily next year.
"I'd love to hang out with you." She said smiling. "So, enough about me. Tell me about yourself."

Rose took a minute to decipher whether Alicia was agreeing with her to sound cool or because she really felt that way. Probably because she needed to vent, but unintentionally to look good. Hey, it worked didn't it. "Well good. You shouldn't let people hold you back, since there's a lot that can hold you back without anyone else help." She had to make that clear: just because you didn't belong to anyone else doesn't mean you belonged to Billings. They were a priviledged house, not a shelter for stray dogs without homes. There was always a chance, a tiny or huge chance, that you would end up on the streets. But hey, it was a risk she took and now look at her?
Rose laughed and delicately picked up her cup, taking a huge gulp from it, taking the rest of it all down at once, but still managing to look positively sophisticated (a trick she learned from Kiran). "Yes, this place does seem to have all the perks.... but the more you're hear the more you'll see. Knowledge does come with experience, naturally. I like it here too."
Rose liked how genuinely and graciously Alicia accepted her offer, but there were a still a few things to straighten out. "I'm glad, but..." she trailed off for a second and then leaned in. "Don't regret it or try to keep it a secret. Be proud of yourself for the privildge, but not stuck up. Stop talking yourself done, which I'm a hundred and one percent sure you've gotten used to doing. Once you start, you can't stop. You can't bring your other friends with you you know."
Rose continued as if she hadn't said anything weird at all, "About me? Let's see. Rose Sakowitz nearly seventeen. Junior. Single and," she paused slightly, "a virgin, yeah I know surprising isn't it?" she went on, "I have impecable grades, I cheerlead, and have been at Billings my entire high school career."
Rose laughed, "That's what we all are on the outside Alicia Rivera. Perfect. You'll have to wait and see from the inside before you know the rest of me." Her eyes sparkled with amusement and mischief.

Alicia smiled genuinely. She hadn't had some regular talk with a girl in a long long time. She'd only hung out with Noelle, and she was always trying to impress her. Otherwise, no other girls had talked to her.
"alright, I got you." She replied, even though she was a bit confused. She smiled. Alicia liked just chatting. She felt with Massie, back when they were talking, that she was always being judged. She wanted to impress rose, but she tried to just be herself.
"it's fine. I'm totally still a virgin. I don't care. Oh you cheerlead? I'm a dancer. And I try my best to get good grades." She laughed.
Alicia smiled at what Rose said. This girl was very smart, you could tell. Alicia had a question for her though. "So do you know Gage Coolidge?"

Rose laughed, not at anything particular, but she was feeling a bit drunk in a way, little tipsy - high on life guess... Ah. Weird moment, she was probably just going temporarily insane or something... She liked Alicia enough. Quite interesting and very original, but at the same time not to interesting that she would be the center of attention and wonder for ages and then have people lose interest because she didn't have anything to give and why oh why was Rose thinking so much today it was giving her a headache and... urgh. Oh God. This wasn't healthly, whatever it was.
Rose smiled and stood up, resting her hands on the table jsut in case she decided to pass out or something.
Thankfully there was no falling sensation and she managed to stand up very well on her own. "Look, um, I think I'm gonna split. Go pop a couple thousand tylenols and sleep for a few ten years. No biggie. But," she grinned again, feeling her eyes practically roll back into her head, "it's been great. And don't forget about lunch..." She turned around, trying to remember where the stupid door was. Everything was kind of blending together right now...
